Platform-specific design
Last modified on Wed 03 Jun 2026
If you are designing for iOS or Android platforms, make sure you use their official design resources to get you started. Both Apple and Google publish their UI kits, guidelines and store asset specs on their Figma Community profiles. Always use official kits, as third-party copies tend to fall behind on updates, and you don't want to hand off a design built on outdated components.
Here's where to find everything you need:
Apple
- Human Interface Guidelines - go-to reference for guidance and best practices that can help you design a great experience for any Apple platform
- Apple Design Resources - Figma files with iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS UI components
- Apple Figma Community profile - same kits, available to duplicate directly in Figma
- App icons - technical specifications for App Store app icons
- App Store screenshot specifications - required screenshot sizes for App Store
- Material Design 3 - Google's open-source design system for building beautiful, usable products
- Material 3 Design Kit - the official Figma component library with Material 3 components, colour schemes and typography
- Material Design Figma Community profile - all official Google design kits in one place
- App icon design specifications - technical specifications for Google Play app icons
- Google Play store feature graphic specifications - required sizes for Play Store feature graphics
Infinum templates
- App icon ribbons template (🔒Internal use) - internal template for adding ribbons to app icons for both iOS and Android
