We invited the Hrvatski Telekom team to our offices to mark the launch of espots – with a full product demo, a look at what’s coming next, and a cake that didn’t last long.
Launching a product is one thing. Taking a moment to actually celebrate it is another.
When the new espots solution went live, we wanted to do both, so we brought the HT team to our Zagreb office for an afternoon that covered the full arc: where we started, what we built, and where we’re going next.
What we built together
espots is the EV charging solution for Hrvatski Telekom’s eMobility network – 250+ charging locations across Croatia, covering a third of all public chargers in the country.
The previous version did the job. The new one is built to be the digital experience drivers reach for first.
Finding a charger, starting a session, and paying for it now takes a few taps. The product detects your location, filters stations by vehicle compatibility, and surfaces the information you actually need before you start driving.
Payments work via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Real-time session data keeps you informed while you charge. A modern visual identity and accessibility built in from the first sketch round out an experience that reflects HT’s ambition in the e-mobility space.
From demo to what’s next
The afternoon opened with a full product demo, walking the HT team through the finished solution, screen by screen. From there, the conversation shifted to the development journey: the decisions made, the tradeoffs considered, and the phases that got us here.
The HT team briefly shared their perspective on the process from their side as well – what the collaboration looked like from where they stood, what worked, what surprised them, and what they’d carry into the next phase.
Then we talked about what’s next. The product roadmap is already taking shape, with the next development phase focused on expanding functionality and deepening HT’s position in an increasingly competitive market.
Here’s what Josip Stjepanovic, Head of Section at HT, and Kristijan Trbojevic, Project Management Team Lead, Infinum, said for our reporters.
The afternoon ended the right way – drinks, food, and a ledeni vjetar cake that disappeared faster than any of us expected.
A good product deserves a proper send-off. And with the roadmap already in motion, the next one isn’t far off.
