As technologists, we must contribute to the solution. Our mission is to shape the future with better technology, but that future is at risk if we don’t address the environmental problems in the present.

To set the foundation for a sustainable future, we’ve taken ownership of our impact on the planet and received a Climate Neutral Certification for the second year in a row.

Measure

Measuring our carbon footprint in 2022 was the first step in understanding our environmental impact and setting the stage for achieving climate neutrality. Continuing our sustainability journey, we pursued re-certification and applied the lessons learned to refine our measurement approach for 2023.

Reduce

We’ve successfully completed our previous emission reduction goals in line with the Climate Neutral standard. Since new measurements revealed that employee commutes, office supplies, and electricity are the biggest sources of emissions, our new reduction strategy focuses on decarbonizing in these areas.

Making our offices greener

We’re committed to reducing the amount of processed foods in our catering, office snacks, and team dinner programs by 20% and transitioning to alternatives with a lower carbon footprint. We’ve also signed a power purchasing agreement to ensure at least 25% of our energy comes from renewable sources by 2025.

Fueling sustainable commute

We encourage low-carbon commuting with a flexible work-from-home policy, complimentary charging for electric vehicles, and various bike-friendly perks. As a certified Cycle-Friendly Employer, Infinum offers free bicycle rental, parking, repair tools, and cyclist insurance for all employees.

Compensate

We’ve continued our partnership with Bonneville Environmental Foundation, offsetting our 2023 carbon footprint through verified projects aimed at reducing emissions from industrial processes, preventing deforestation, and reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels.

Investing in green education

We are dedicated to inspiring our team members to adopt sustainable practices. To achieve this, we continuously invest in employee education, organizing workshops and lectures on the topics of decarbonization, waste separation, food waste management, and plastic reduction.
