More than a quarter of public EV chargers don’t work, leaving drivers stranded, automakers frustrated, and the planet waiting on an EV revolution that can’t succeed without a reliable charging network. But unlike gas stations, EV chargers rely on complex software and hardware working together in public spaces, posing a unique set of challenges.

In 2020, Kameale C. Terry took on this problem and launched ChargerHelp!, a tech-driven EV charging station repair and maintenance company. The company uses data, predictive analytics, and AI to understand why chargers fail and fix them more efficiently, guaranteeing uptime.

Since there was no trained workforce to fix charging stations’ software issues, ChargerHelp! created one, opening career doors to marginalized communities along the way. They also brought accountability to the industry by helping shape the first EV charging reliability law.

Whether you’re an automaker, EV owner, charging provider, or entrepreneur, you’ll find inspiration in Kameale’s story of resilience and turning a personal mission into real-world impact.
