Are you a student passionate about design? Become a part of our internship programme and learn from the best!
Join a design team of 26 design professionals – UX/UI designers, illustrators, and motion designers, working on diverse ambitious web and mobile products in a supportive environment. This paid internship is held on-site in Zagreb or Podgorica.
Are you an individual passionate about digital design and eager to accumulate experience in the tech industry? Say no more! Join us to learn about the project lifecycle from concept to delivery, and find out first-hand how we handle client interactions and revisions. Work alongside other designers on client projects and under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Take part in client meetings alongside Product Owners, Project Managers, as well as web, mobile, and QA engineers.
But wait, there’s more! You’ll get to participate in internal educational presentations, group critique sessions, and other social activities. Cocktail o’clock, anyone? It’s five PM somewhere…
Show us your portfolio
As part of your application, submit a portfolio showcasing up to 5 examples of your work. While we have a strong focus on digital design, we welcome submissions that highlight skills in any category of creative and visual problem-solving – be it graphic design, packaging, branding, print, physical products, etc. Whether your projects are class assignments, personal endeavors, concepts, or freelance work, ensure that each piece effectively showcases your skills.
Your portfolio can be presented in various formats – as a PDF document, a link to an online upload (please ensure access rights), or a link to a Figma prototype containing a slide deck of your work.

Qualifications & expectations
- a student of design, computer science, psychology, humanities, or a related field, able to work a minimum of 30 hours a week
- being able to work on-site at least 3 times a week, from our Zagreb or Podgorica office
- no prior professional design experience is required
- knowledge of Figma or similar software is a plus
- fluency in English and local language (Croatian or Montenegrin)
- being comfortable in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- a positive attitude towards work and ambition for learning new skills
- an independent and results-driven personality

Scope of responsibilities
- collaborating with the design team to create user-centric designs for web and mobile applications
- assisting in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups under the guidance of our senior designers
- adjusting and streamlining existing design systems and ensuring consistency in project files
- iterating designs based on teammates’ feedback
- collaborating with other designers, product strategists, and developers in cross-functional, agile teams
- reading through all learning materials provided by the Design team
The hiring process, explained

Initial interview with a Recruitment Specialist
Our Recruitment Specialist leads you through the selection process. We get to know you, while you get to know Infinum, the Design team, and learn more about the job position.

Online testing
This step usually includes solving several tests online, such as the personality tests, logical sequences, as well as performance and concentration tests.

Final interview
In this stage, you’re introduced to a Design Team Lead, and Design Internship Mentor. You get a chance to dive deeper into the job specifics, while we go over select pieces in your portfolio together and chat about the design process.

An Offer
We’re nothing short of impressed with you if you make it this far. All that remains is to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.

Tools
we use
Figma
We use Figma to create, test, and ship designs and communicate with all stakeholders to polish it to perfection.
Adobe CC
We use the Adobe Creative Cloud collection for all design-related processes (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc).
Slack
We use Slack for work and fun. It’s our go-to tool for maintaining sanity both in the office and remotely.
Productive
We use Productive for time tracking, budgeting and project management. It helps us to have all the information in one place.
