WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented accountant with experience in payroll processing to join our Finance and Administration team.
Our Finance and HR Administration teams recently merged, combining expertise in various accounting and administrative operations. As one team, we handle everything from payroll and travel expenses to client invoices and employee inquiries. In short, we take care of all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a 370-person company with international clients running smoothly.
We’re a small but highly efficient team of five looking for an accountant with solid payroll experience to help us keep things running like clockwork. In this role, you’ll be making work easier and better for hundreds of employees, who will remain blissfully unaware of the mountain of spreadsheets, documents, and policies you’ve had to go through to accomplish it. But they’ll definitely appreciate it when you land in their inbox with the best news of the month: their payroll statement.

Qualifications & Experience
- educational background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- payroll processing experience
- minimum of two years of relevant experience, including invoice posting and travel order processing
- solid understanding of accounting principles
- familiarity with Croatian labor law and tax regulations
- advanced computer skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- good communication skills
- excellent command of written and spoken English and Croatian
- exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- flexible mindset and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- high level of discretion and confidentiality
Bonus points
familiarity with IFRS accounting standards and procedures

Your responsibilities
- processing payroll for all Infinum employees, including preparing and filing JOPPD forms
- ensuring accurate personnel administration
- maintaining the HR database and notifying relevant team members about employee changes as needed
- addressing employee inquiries on payroll, deductions, and other matters
- staying up-to-date with legislation in the area of payroll and bookkeeping
- preparing and processing receivables for domestic, EU, and third-country transactions
- collaborating with different departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing)
- recording payables and creating payment orders
- reconciling receivables and payables with bank transactions
- maintaining spreadsheets and databases
- preparing reports and statistics for internal and external purposes
- collaborating with labor law institutions (HZMO, HZZO, HZZ…)
- ensuring correct and accurate personnel administration
- processing travel orders
- handling the administrative processes related to employee benefits

Live assignment
Designed to show you the kind of tasks you will meet with regularly and to give you a better insight into the position itself. It also gives us an insight into your skills and experience with relevant technologies.

Online testing
You solve a couple of psychological tests that usually include personality tests, logical sequences, and performance and concentration tests, which give us an insight into your character, capacities, and aptitudes.

Final interview
You talk to the CFO, Accounting manager and a Talent Partner. You get a deeper insight into the position and our expectations, while we get the opportunity to ask you more specific questions.

Offer
All going well, in this stage we send you the offer, which includes all the information from salary details and vacation days to other perks and benefits of working at Infinum.
