At Infinum, we recognize our responsibility to excel in the digital realm and contribute positively to the environment and society at large. This Policy outlines our values and principles in these crucial areas.

Who does this Policy apply to

This Policy specifies minimum standards of behavior Infinum requires from Infinum group affiliates, their employees, and other non-employee workers (together referred to as employees).

This Policy does not replace legislation; if the two are in conflict, legislation takes precedence. The reverse applies if the Policy sets a higher standard than the existing legislation.

Environmental Responsibility

At Infinum, we are dedicated to environmental stewardship and understanding our responsibility to operate sustainably within the innovation-driven sector. Our Policy covers environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects and highlights our commitment to fostering a greener future within our operations and across our broader sphere of influence.

Environmental Compliance and Regulation

IInfinum is committed to complying with all environmental laws and regulations, ensuring we obtain and maintain the necessary permits and licenses for our operations. We strive to meet high compliance standards, minimizing adverse effects on the environment and neighboring communities.

Moreover, our ESG practices extend beyond environmental benefits (see below the Social Responsibility section).

Sustainable Practices

We are proactive in reducing our resource consumption, striving to minimize energy usage, waste generation, and water consumption throughout our operations. In pursuit of pollution prevention, we employ sustainable solutions and implement circular supply chains wherever feasible.

Carbon Neutrality and Greenhouse Gas Reduction

In line with our vision for a carbon-neutral future, Infinum sets targets to guide our reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Annually, we measure our carbon footprint and establish short-term and long-term goals to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. To mitigate our impact, we invest in projects with environmental and humanitarian benefits, offsetting our carbon footprint from the previous year.

Waste Management

Responsible waste management is integral to our environmental strategy. We handle and store waste to prevent pollution and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. We aim to minimize waste generation wherever possible, promoting recycling, reuse, and proper disposal practices.

Advocacy and Collaboration

Infinum promotes environmentally friendly technologies and advocates for responsible sourcing practices. We also support regulatory principles prioritizing socially responsible sourcing and the reduction of hazardous substances.

Risk Assessment and Communication

Our environmental management system prioritizes risk assessment and transparent communication with stakeholders. We facilitate open discussions and information sharing on sustainability topics through internal channels and internal and external education. Grievance mechanisms are in place to address concerns raised by both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution and privacy protection (see below under the Raising Concerns section).

Continuous improvement

Infinum is dedicated to continuous improvement in our environmental performance. We regularly evaluate our practices, seeking innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint further. By embracing sustainability as a core value, we aim to lead by example and inspire positive change within our industry. 

Human rights

Child Labour

We don’t employ anyone under 15 or below the mandatory national school-leaving age. We never use or support practices that inhibit children’s development.

Modern Slavery & Forced Labour

We don’t use any form of involuntary labor, including, but not limited to, people who have been trafficked, forced, prison, or debt-bonded labor.

Fair pay & benefits

We ensure that all wages meet the local minimum wage requirements set by the law. Additionally, we follow workplace regulations to determine fair compensation. Overtime is only allowed per legal requirements, and employees must be adequately compensated for any extra hours worked. We ensure that standard working hours adhere to legal limits, with overtime not exceeding the maximum law allows. Employees are entitled to at least one day off every seven days and time off for recognized national and local holidays. They should also receive the specified annual, sick, and maternity/paternity leave without facing any negative consequences.

Alcohol and drug abuse

At Infinum, we take proactive measures to eliminate workplace hazards. Those providing services for our company are expected to refrain from being on our premises or in the workplace while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

We value diversity and inclusivity in our workplace and strive to create an environment where all employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. We treat each other openly, honestly, and courteously. We have outlined our values and approach in more detail in our Code of conduct. We ensure a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination based on age, disability, gender, marital or civil partner status, parental status (including maternity and paternity status), race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.

We’ve established a health and safety management system that outlines the need to evaluate risks associated with work, implement measures to mitigate or eliminate these risks and provide sufficient training to those affected.

Furthermore, we uphold the rights of our employees to freely decide whether to join or abstain from joining any association of their choice. They can form associations, engage in collective bargaining, and negotiate individually, all per local laws and regulations. We ensure no employee faces harassment or retaliation for exercising these fundamental rights.

Every year, we donate 1% of our profits to support initiatives and causes we believe in through the Infinum Foundation. Infinum Foundation is not just our way of giving back to the community but an investment in the future.

We believe the future lies in the youth of today. As part of the Infinum Foundation, we have established a pilot year-long scholarship program for high school students. The scholarship is intended for hardworking and gifted students from Croatia who have shown excellence despite obstacles.

Infinum Academy helps us empower students with the latest knowledge and skills to thrive digitally. By offering hands-on learning experiences, we ensure that students are not only well-prepared for the demands of the modern job market but also enhance their employability and contribute to the advancement of our communities.

Additionally, when seeking new suppliers and partners we conduct thorough due diligence. We take steps to only choose suppliers and partners whose values and business behaviour meet high ethical standards. We support communities in areas of education and skills, environment, social investment, and arts, culture, and heritage.

At Infinum, we ensure accessibility in every aspect of our operations. Our commitment extends to creating accessible office spaces with elevators and accessible restrooms.

Integrity and transparency

Anti-bribery and corruption

We have a strict stance against bribery and corruption, without exception. We carefully select partners known for their integrity and expect them to uphold our standards consistently. Under no circumstances do we offer, provide, or accept anything of value that could improperly influence business decisions.

Any gifts or hospitality we offer are done openly and transparently, ensuring they are neither illegal nor associated with facilitation payments. We maintain a firm stance against such practices.

Conflict of Interest

We avoid any situation where conflicts of interest might influence our business decisions or behavior or prevent us from acting in the best interests of Infinum. Should we identify or suspect any conflict of interest, we promptly address it by voicing our concerns. This proactive approach ensures transparency and integrity in our operations.

Competition and antitrust laws

We adhere strictly to all relevant competition and antitrust laws and regulations. This entails refraining from price fixing, market sharing, bid rigging, or customer allocation. By following these guidelines, we maintain fair and competitive practices in the marketplace.

Data Safety and Security

Our technologies, intellectual property, and commercially sensitive and confidential information are vital assets of our business, and we protect them from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure.

We protect our confidential information and personal data, including data from customers, suppliers, joint ventures, and other parties. We only share and use it internally to the extent permitted, and we never share it externally without authorization. We do not try to find or use the information of other people or organizations, including competitors, that we know is confidential or restricted.

Preventing the facilitation of tax evasion

We do not help our customers, suppliers, or anyone else we work with to fraudulently underpay or not pay tax.

Lobbying and political support

We are committed to conducting lobbying activities in compliance with all applicable laws and to behaving ethically in all our interactions with governments, agencies, and their representatives. We do not make corporate contributions or donations to political parties or to organizations, think tanks, academic institutions, or charities closely associated with a political party or cause.

Accurate business records

We maintain accurate and complete records of our business transactions.

Raising concerns

We encourage you to share any feedback, comments, or grievances.

You can do this through our email suggestions@infinum.com

We will evaluate the communication received. If necessary, based on the nature of your communication, we will provide you with our answer within 15 days of its receipt.

If we receive a grievance from you, our Sustainability Committee will evaluate it and decide whether a breach of this Policy occurred. The Committee will decide on the necessary measures to be implemented. The Committee will initiate other procedures by local legal law and internal Infinum regulations if required. We will inform you of the result of your grievance within 30 days from its receipt.
