We work on big data collected from various data sources within car company – mostly vehicle data. With advanced analytics and AI we get insights that bring new business value and define Porsche product development strategy.
We need support for our existing Analytics team. As our colleague you will be working on real automotive industry challenges and solve them using advanced analytics.

Qualifications & Experience
a university degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or related fields
solid knowledge of Python, SQL, and data processing
experience working in Cloudera (ML Workspace), Spark, and Apache Big Data stack
experience with visualizing data using visual analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio, Qlik)
strong affinity toward technical topics and IT system operations
ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment
basic understanding of safety, security, privacy, and legal issues relevant to customer data
strong communication and data presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate project status and results
excellent command of written and spoken English
above-average decision-making and problem-solving skills

Your responsibilities
communicating findings through effective data visualizations and reports
working on a huge amount of data on a day-to-day basis and finding insights in data
providing different types of ad hoc and ongoing analysis to different business stakeholders
approaching high-level challenges with a clear eye on what is important
presenting your techniques and discoveries to technical and non-technical audiences in a language they can understand
generating interesting research questions that will enhance our understanding of the matter at hand
working with the technology team on delivering the scope that generates business value
collaborating with project members with different backgrounds on a daily basis
proactively communicating with other team members and project stakeholders

Spark
We use Spark as a unified analytics engine for large-scale data processing.
Qlik
We use the Qlik suite to transform raw data into actionable insights in order to make smarter decisions and drive better outcomes.
Kafka
We use Kafka to build real-time streaming data pipelines that reliably get data between systems or applications.
Jupyter
A deck of open tools and standards we use for education, research, and data analytics.
TensorFlow
The end-to-end open source machine learning platform of our choice. Impala—a native analytic database for Apache Hadoop. Impala provides low latency and high concurrency for BI/analytic queries.
GitHub
All our work is on GitHub. Everything goes through pull requests and code reviews with your future team members.
Miro
We use Miro as a visual collaboration platform to share ideas and communicate across the team.
MSO 365
O365 helps us get our work done and communicate on a daily basis, from networking to data sharing.
Slack
We use Slack for work and fun. It’s our go-to tool for maintaining sanity both in the office and remotely.
