We’re looking for a skilled negotiator whose experience in selling services will wow us as much as their charming personality.
Business Development is one of the first points of contact at our company, and as such, serves as a window into the entire organization. We are the people our clients meet before becoming clients. Our mission is to build trust by listening to their business challenges, and thoughtfully explaining how Infinum can help them build the digital products they need.
The Business Development team at Infinum consists of seven people based in four locations – Croatia, Slovenia, New York, and London, and we work with clients across the globe. Our extended team includes eight Solution Architects, Product Strategists, and Product Owners who often join us in our efforts to acquire new clients.
Besides using the inbound funnel to add new clients to our portfolio, we grow the business by expanding our referral network, recognizing and opening new markets, and bolstering our outbound funnel. We also closely work with our Marketing team to refine client-facing materials and promote the company, as well as its ventures.

We offer a 100-130k USD base salary, plus the commission on won deals.

Let’s talk about you
Given the increased demand for our services in the United States over the past few years, we have been expanding our team in New York. Our next key hire will be a Business Development Manager who will help us in establishing new client relationships that are profitable, and mutually beneficial.
As Business Development Manager, your job will be multifaceted. You will handle qualification of inbound leads, and conduct discovery meetings with potential clients. You will also be expected to generate new business opportunities via your professional network and other outbound initiatives.
Strategists, Designers, Solution Architects and Project Managers will be at your disposal for meetings with potential clients, but effective qualification skills are a must, as we want to make sure their time is used efficiently.
Finally, you will be expected to put together proposals, negotiate contracts and bring new clients to our portfolio.
Qualifications & Experience
English speaker, proficient in both spoken and written communication
selling services is very different from selling products, so it would be ideal if you have experience in business development and sales at a digital agency similar to Infinum
you will need to present the company and its services in various situations, so great presentation skills are required
you must be a good listener, paying close attention to the pain points and goals of potential clients, so we can effectively position our services
the Business Development team makes the first impression and we want you to represent Infinum with a charming, fun, and pleasant personality
being a skilful negotiator is a must for this position
we don’t expect you to be a former developer, but some degree of technical knowledge, and familiarity with industry trends is expected
you will have responsibilities and goals which we expect you to deliver on – you must be pragmatic, energetic, and reliable
the best managers are communicative, outgoing, and uninhibited
networking is of critical importance in business development
you will have plenty of support and encouragement from the team, but self-motivation and assertiveness will be crucial to your success
ideally, your experience will bring along a business network you’ll be able to leverage to find some new opportunities
besides leveraging your network, you will be conducting additional research and lead generation strategies (both inbound and outbound) to increase the funnel and qualify leads
trends in IT are ever-changing, so it will be vital for you to identify and understand these trends within the clients’ markets and industries
coordinate and lead various types of meetings from client presentations and internal strategy discussions, to negotiation calls and project kickoffs
coordinate with the production team for preparation of estimates, and handle all aspects of proposal creation for potential clients
the majority of your work will be presenting Infinum services to potential clients, determining requirements and possible solutions, and discussing terms for potential engagement
participate in onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth handoff to Project Manager and product teams
cooperation with our Planning team will be essential in providing all the necessary resourcing and timeline information to a potential client
administrate the process of signing various agreements (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc.) with potential clients
together with the rest of the Business Development team and VP of BD, you will discuss BD strategy for the US, and you will get certain sales targets based on it
We use Productive for managing our sales pipeline, budgeting and project management. It helps us to have all the information in one place.
We use Slack for work and for fun. It’s our go-to tool for maintaining sanity both in office and remote.
We often use Zoom for communication with our clients and remote colleagues.
Aside from creating a business network, we use Linkedin Sales Navigator in our work.
A great tool we use for finding business information about private and public companies.
We use a set of Hubspot tools, primarily for inbound marketing.
Analysing our funnel and marketing efforts is super easy with Data Studio.
We use Pitch to create beautiful decks and presentation.
For creating top-notch presentations, we rely on Mac’s iWork set of tools.
To add that final touch to our official documents, we use Pages.
We use different tools for everything from collaboration to data analysis.
Meet us in Manhattan
Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, the bright and comfortable office space is a place where the US team holds meetings, collaborates on BizDev strategy, and hosts both clients and the many members of our European Team who visit throughout the year.
Operating since 2017, our New York office is the main point of contact for our North American customers. Working closely with Infinum’s international BizDev and production teams, our Director of Business Development, Josh Landman, Product Strategist, Zach Casey and Project Manager, Khaled Qishawi oversee new and existing engagements. The team is small but mighty, and will continue to expand as we look to support our growing roster of clients in the US, Canada, and Latin America.
It’s great to have a space where our team can meet in person, bounce ideas, and get work done together. The office is easy to get to from anywhere in NYC and equips us with everything we need to host and impress our clients. The free coffee, snacks, and fully equipped kitchen are an added bonus.
