Who are we

We’re a team of 10 DevOps engineers. Our main task is to provide a stable and scalable platform for our applications and ensure our developers can continuously build and deploy new features. We work mostly with web application developers (backend, Java, JavaScript, WordPress, .NET). To achieve this, we rely on Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Sensu, and a whole suite of Azure services.

We like turtles and automatization. We know where the skeletons are buried. We hold the Power of Root at our fingertips. We find a way or make one.

Who are we looking for?

& Experience
  • extensive experience in working with Microsoft Azure services
  • experience with orchestration and deployment of microservices
  • experience in working with web services (Nginx, Apache)
  • knowledge of network protocols (HTTP, DNS)
  • knowledge of relational database services
  • skilled in monitoring and performance optimization
  • excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • experience with backup and recovery
  • experience or familiarity with git
  • good problem-solving and analytics skills
  • a drive to make your infrastructure better every day
  • fluency in English

These would be nice to have:

  • experience with setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting HA infrastructures
  • experience with designing and implementing CI/CD processes
  • experience with design, implementation and monitoring of microservices architectures
  • MS Azure certifications are a plus
  • planning, deployment, and maintenance of various software solutions
  • defining tasks and giving time estimates
  • to write clean, maintainable code and test it
  • to roll out new features, and analyze (and react) to the results you learn about from our QA Engineers and user feedback
  • to collaborate with clients and both project and technical teams
  • being able to present your solutions in front of clients and/or a group of colleagues
  • proactively communicating with other team members and project stakeholders
  • use agile methodologies in development (if you don’t know them yet, we will teach you)
  • participate in code reviews, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
  • to continually improve your skills and push others to go forward with their knowledge
  • working in a cross-functional team

Tools we use

One of the cloud platforms we use. Azure provides various building blocks and DevOps tools for designing a scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Semaphore CI
We are practicing Continuous Integration, with Semaphore and Jenkins (depending on the project/client) being the tools used.
Ansible is used for automating server configuration, application deployment and centralizing configuration management.
Graylog is our tool of choice for aggregation, management and display of all kind of logs: applications, docker containers, services and servers.
Tool for provisioning infrastructure and ensuring our deployments are repeatable.
Sensu is used for server, services, application health, and various metrics monitoring. (<3 OpsGenie)
Used to securely store and exchange secrets.
Our collected monitoring data is presented in easily readable graphs with the help of Grafana.
We rely on Docker in a variety of ways, from simplifying the setup of a local development environment to packaging and running our applications as containers.
We keep our work in GitHub (or Bitbucket – depending on project/client) and use pull request flow as our daily routine.
Whether remote or in the office slack enables us to exchange information, discuss code, make decisions quickly and stay on top of things.
Through the years we’ve built a vast repository of knowledge related to ruby, rails and backend in general. It also serves as our guide and shows how we make our applications.
